I am considering it because of our abysmal public school system but is it arrogant/naive to think I can provide a higher quality myself idkkk
Thoughts and opinions please
private school dumbass
I went through private education and it was awful
No guarantee my child will have the same experience ofc but I'm wary of ruining their independent curiosity and desire to learn by stifling them in that environment
I worry even trialing it for a year or two may do irreparable damage
Private school's pretty nice, but it's expensive.
My main gripe with homeschooling is over how it does next to nothing for preparing people socially. A lot of what school accomplishes is over having peers their age to be at odds with, giving them practice and the room to make the mistakes needed to grow into a more well rounded person.

Not arrogant, that's thinking about what best for your child.
Good choice. Unless you want your child's values to be determined by the State.
Hey, I got an idea. Let's pack 5000 kids into a building with 100 adults and pretend learning is going on.
