Part of the reason it is difficult for new members to join, I think, is because we are so used to puppet accounts being made that when we see a new account we just ignore them for a while.
I remember when I first joined I had a really difficult time getting anyone to talk with me, and a few ppl (TC I'm looking at you) kept arguing with me about how I was "not a new member but a puppet." I had to put in quite quite a bit of effort to differentiate myself.
A lot of what I've seen be an issue has been over how jumping in without the lore can make it hard to know what's going on. If there's to be fresh people here there needs to be fresh content rather than callbacks.
If this were like a TV show, we're at like season 20 or something now.

If it is done right and still maintains the original charm of SC i am all for it; allowing for all types of mental illnesses while maintaining it is a place for sociopaths. If the toxicity and freedom were to be gone and for this place to be a "safe place" id lose interest fast

you don't know how much of an issue it is though cos if it were me and the first thing i saw here was the child rape spam or turqs psychotic ramblings i would dip out. the first thing i saw when i came here was someone explaining psychotic shit they did to someone for no reason and it peaked my interest.
if this place were called 'sperg community' or 'pedo community', even 'spastic freak community' then the trash spam would be fitting.

i wouldn't want anyone banned, but condensing turqs bs into one spastic thread and giving xadem a timeout if he spams child rape for 10 mins seems like a priority for this place if we want new members.
