Did I ever link you Da'at Darling?
I have been following her passively on and off, she has been an amazing resource as an Introduction to multiple forms of Cultural Occultism, and from her works I've gained a surprising amount.
She is amazing as a Cultural Historian within the framework of Magic, which lends a certain sense of Authenticity to her work compared to the "Feel It Out" types, and I think you'd enjoy it too. I reccomend filtering it by Popular rather than Most Recent, unless you plan to do a full blown Deep Dive in which case I'd say start from the beginning (the last video link first, from it being the oldest).
Some examples of her videos:

Specifics:
Compared to a lot of others, I am a fairly big fan of her work and feel safe linking it to people over how it stands to do the least harm.
I recently remembered her again while looking into some of my older topics, and she has recently made a stand against some others:
I relate to this struggle of hers, but she is way more educated on it than I am.

How could it do harm?
What would be the motivation/benefit of delving into occultism and choosing a "path"?

This is more of a "Where do I even start?" problem.
There's a lot of people who think they're on 'the path' while selling horrible things, presuming themselves to be of such mastery as to have nothing else left to learn while spreading their problems towards an impressionable audience.
When it seems more ideal, I can link some of the bad ones to demonstrate my point.

I've found it easier to find which one is easier to identify with as a way to find others of a similar mindset, then from there the room to bridge into others becomes possible.
I began with Psychology, so it's been kind of weird to try to explore the more faith-based ones.
I appreciate these videos and you thinking of me but spirit is having me go all about to this and that something from here and there and there so I cannot really focus on just one thing or teacher right now because I am going all around all over the place lol
like I cannot even focus on one thing long enough to read a shamanic book all the way through because they will be like okay you learned this now go over here and learn this and this and then maybe come back and read some more of that or maybe I only needed to learn one or a few things from that specific book during this time in my training
I still see them as a good source of inspiration, they show a lot about their founders and followers and, in turn, it can show us where we are relative to them. With enough faiths compared like that, it can become easier to find where we are in between them all.
They're interesting, and she has a way of not making the material as dry as a lot of other channels.
