That's a pretty Kamikaze way to correct people. XD Considering this situation must be at night, they wouldn't be able to really tell you're play-acting blind, and just be reacting to some person swerving into their lane, without likely realizing it has to do with their lights.
You could explain it to the officer after the accident, perhaps.
