The plan with stickies eventually is to condense it down to two topics that list other relevant topics within it. For the Community one, that will be topics like Dumb Shit That Makes You Laugh, The First Music Thread, SC Movie Nights (in the future as a mega collection of each new movie thread maybe?), maybe even Quotes From Members.

So lets talk about it, what are some quintessential topics that people would benefit from always having clickable access to?

Now when users view your website, they get the same threads EVERY time. They are forced to scroll down to see new content. You force users to put in more effort to get to original posts made by real users.--- all so that mods and admins can have the power to shove the threads THEY care about down your throat

This place is now a top-down heiarchy where the admins are programmed to be "above" normal users in their ability to have their voice heard.

This is a huge step toward throwing away the values I founded this site on.

The fact that this is something admins and mods support shows how this forum has become just like all the other forums with overbearing mods who show off and use their power at every opportunity.

at some point we should talk about your choices in mods, and how they were like 90% male. i think u modded angee for a half hour one time, and the other female u modded was tk. TK.

blanc too but she abused it like day 2.. i wanted her to be a good mod lol

Stickies...

take away the thrill of going back 3 pages and stumbling upon a shitpost you made a month ago

remove the spontaneity of having a thread bumped and stop being representative of post dynamics

exist to make the forum authorities feel organised and useful

downplay the relevance of popular topics that stay on top of the page for days or weeks

stickies are for faggots.

Any suggestions for topics to add to the sticky?

I liked Xadem's idea of a topic that showed the themes of others topics, and maybe one to sort users hosted topics would help people who don't use the Advanced Search:

In general there are topics we have that are otherwise pretty good but not on their own enough of a standout for the Community Topic, so maybe a topic for those topics?
