My family sucks, for now I've got my mom, but I feel like Orphan Annie. I really want to marry and join a guy's family but I have to choose wisely. I was focused on career for a long time and then when that did not pan out I didn't really look for anyone. I don't know if you can fathom the fear I have about comitting, though. The one person you want to spend the rest of your life with. And what if after all he leaves.

Also I'm out into the world after living in a new state although I had lived across the country previously and away twice for school. I really feel like there's the elite and Ivy League and everyone else. I kind of dropped out of the running when I didn't care to study in high school, could have redeemed myself in med school, but gave up too easily. It really sucks out there. I really feel I belong with elites given my parentage and my personality. But I don't really want someone who already has a family. So who is left.

I want to meet as many guys as I can before committing but I don't feel like time is on my side, see bit about pursuing my career for awhile. I don't even give half the guys a chance to meet me. There's something wrong with everyone. I'm a perfectionist but who said I don't have every right to be.

Also I feel as if I had to rank the really important things I must do in the next six months this ranks highly. But I hate the feeling of being dependent on a man in this way. My dad never explicitly said but I know he valued scholarship and would have wanted to see me become someone in my own right.

Yes why not One Life to Live. You've kind of drunk the Kool Aid Turncoat. But at the same time I have a very different personality than you it would seem. I am not satisfied with mediocrity.

Not true it's kind of an expression. I have entertained some men. But I am a perfectionist yes

I wouldn't call less than perfection settling.

I mostly look for a good flow and sense of synergy, which tends to fall into types.
