At any rate, we have to woo the incoming guests in the first 10 seconds given the information overload and low attention spans these days. It will be the first thing any incoming person sees when they come in. After they click, they will be hooked, like fish who just swallowed a tasty bait. My suggestion would then be to delete all the serious posts and fill it with SC-made pornography.

In-between the porn, we will post links to Alice's math threads, to get them familiar with the less immediate themes. They did something similar on radio channels back in the 90s, where they sandwiched less popular tracks in-between popular tracks, to lull people into liking music that they otherwise wouldn't like.

Dumb Shit That Makes You Laugh

Maybe a locked topic with multiple topics in it to not clutter it? 

Can the pinned topics be collapsed the way chat can be? It is convenient in theory to have useful topics pinned but in practice it is distracting to take up the top of the topic list.

TC suggested that we have 2 topics, one locked with multiple links and one that is chosen by the community.

It shall be so, but I will make the locked topic later.
