Devastated, he doesn't want to show his face around here. He's mentally and emotionally beaten down. He reaches out to Med looking for any form of human connection or empathy in this dark time.
Thrilled to have chapo's attention through text, she doesn't bother to sign in today. After all, SC is just a mode of communication with Chapo to her.

When both Med and Chapo suddenly aren't online at the same time, then there's reason to believe he's visiting her. Maybe he'll want to keep it a secret as a part of the condition, or maybe not.
If he's going over there for sex and money, then it would be more of an inconvenience to announce it here.
I doubt that McDonalds would fire their best employee. Even if they would, the reputational damage wouldn't be worth it. If you know your McLore, he's a pretty big deal in the McPotato cutting department
