Isn't it common in the dwarfism community for little people to date other little people? Although the form of dwarfism she hasn't is rare, I think her dating life would benefit from dating other people who also have dwarfism. The similar background would mean they would likely be able to approach her situation with understanding.

I also think she could have a relationship with a "normal" person as long as that person's interest in her was genuinely attraction to her personality and 23-year-old brain, and not attraction to her prepubescent body. Normal people with little people relationships aren't uncommon.

Overall I don't think this adult women's dating life is up for public debate. Its her choice who she wants to date, but for her sake i hope the people she meets are interested in her for who she is and they aren't pedophiles who only want to be with her because of what she looks like.

Shauna seems to be not interested in dating within her community, or even specifically with those that have her specific disorder (as seen in the Oompaville video).  That speaks to the fact that maybe she seeks either to push against the projection of age onto her, or her preferences, or both.

This leads toward the difficulty in finding a "normal" person, that, while not "up for debate" is certainly up for discussion.  Nothing we say here is going to have bearing on her life.  This is talking about the norms of society and a real scenario that subverts them.

While she is in the "little people" category, her particular dwarfism is different enough to contend with very difficult social mores.  It wouldn't be hard just for her, but for anyone with her, and her family and so on.  As much as we want to extend rights for consenting adults, etc., this is more a perspective for empathy.

We often speculate about weird shit here, but this is real.

No matter how she acts, she'll always be perceived as a sad case at first, and being brave afterwards. Being courageous for being you must SUCK.

 I find her annoying personally. I also think the way she talks about men is objectifying. I also get the feeling she would discriminate against men of her own community.
