it's easier to succeed by being unique about your approach

be what others aren't; look where they don't

Going against the grain is hard but Nah what you want to be is exceptional. You don’t want to be just like everyone else. You want to be in the upper echelon, in the cohort of the smartest and the most attractive.

that's a pretty disordered way of thinking. 'YOU HAVE TO BE THE BEST AT ALL TIMES AND BETTER THAN OTHERS, CONSTANTLY COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS'

sounds exhausting and depressing, what are you trying to prove?

Taken together with my statement going against the grain is hard,  I am not necessarily advocating for anti-conformity

From my findings, people tend to find more comfort finding where they are optimized rather than climbing to the top.

This could mean a happy janitor or a studious secretary being happier than a top rank business mogul.

Why do you think that is? Why not aim to be the cog nestled comfortably in the machine, rather than the top honcho?
