Just an anxiety inducing thought, that if in a few hundred years or milennia we're able to transfer ourselves to a digital environment, this would pose an enormous temptation for malicious and sadistic people to hack into the system and generate a hellish experience, with a ratio of the time experience lowered down to 1 billion of the actual IRL time
You'd be under excruciating pain, or seeing loved ones in pain, for what might as well be called an eternity. And if this were kept hidden, nobdoy could save you. Same actually for sentient NPCs in future games. I guess none of this is original but it's fun to think about
