Meteor rain will be most unpleasant.
That incident in Russia for example. The doors and windows and things getting smashed is just from the Sonic boom.
It took 3 minutes after the meteor passed for the sonic boom to reach. The meteor was the size of a car when it entered, but about the size of a bowling ball when it touched down.
So.
If we had meteor rain, it would be like Suns falling from the sky ( it was bright like the Sun ) with smoke trails indicating their paths. We'll feel various impact rumbles, then.... we'll get rattled by multiple sonic booms that'll last too long.
Being too close to a touchdown, will turn you into jelly. It'll be horribly horrible horror times a million.

Roughly 13 000 comets and meteors pass close enough to Earth to collide every year.
There are 2 that are of interest to me right now.
