Tibetan/Chinese New Year celebrations will start on February 21st this year. This means that the year of the Water Tiger will come to an end and the year of the Water Rabbit will begin on the 22nd. This will be a bad year for people born 1987.
According to the tibetan astrological system all obstacles and negative energies accumulate over the course of a year and are particularly heavy on every individual during the last months of any year. So it is generally believed that one should pray to the gods or to buddha etc. at the end of the year to annihilate obstacles and so on. Also confess your evil deeds of the old year with genuine remorse before the new year starts. That way next year will be more auspicious and you will avoid carrying negativity over. Also clean your house/flat and pay bills if possible before the next year starts.
