How did you come up with the price? 

$100 sounded good to me, the rest of the increase is patreon and paypal taxes that I will need to pay to get my money.

but now that you asked me I created a system based on the average hourly salary where I am and the location of the client(for the USA I used their average cost of living state and their most populated city or North Dakota Fargo) + the cost of living difference between me and the client and how many hours I estimate it could take me.

So I lower it to $102

I just noticed yesterday how the forum updates without refreshing. Which is a nice touch.

its been like that since the start, if you enable the option in your account settings.

I must've enabled it somehow then. 

I guess it's disabled by default for efficiency
