An hour by car, 40 mins if i decide to ignore my alarm clock for three hours.

How much of that's traffic?

An hour with traffic, 40 min actual commute which is why I just call in late.

Huh, 20 minutes isn't that bad for that state actually.

...I do not miss the traffic jams I grew up with in that area.

That's only when I'm going into SF proper

Even LA wasn't fun for driving, and the road designs around all the hills get really dicey.

I would honestly rather take a glider than drive through LA.

I legit had a chaperone at my private school who gunned it full speed down hills like this in a clunky old van:

Kids were all cheering and exclaiming how cool it was while I kept thinking we were going to die.

 Oh fuck no.

Sf has some hills but they fuckin mini compared to this. The zigzag road in SF always fucks with me

How do you handle the plethora of homeless people (that I have been told exist) when you go into SF proper?

Sc is pretty boring.

I will occasionally give women a few dollars or a meal if i can but ultimately it's best to steer clear of them. Most if not all leave you alone.

Tweakers lying on the sidewalks just give space to, and don't stand around if they're taking a shit in public, they're more like to do something else with it.

No, no SF definitely has these hills. These are the kinds of monsters I grew up being driven down, or sometimes even walking on.

My father did shit like walking on his hands on those inclines in his prime. I had no idea how nuts that was until I was older, that just seemed normal to me then.

Pretty much yeah (although I didn't give money), the ones who are so bold as to try to talk to you tend to more traditionally go for cars at red lights. If any yelled at us it was better to ignore it. The ones who talk to themselves are the more bizarre ones usually, but they give off more than enough signals to know to stay away. LA homeless were a little scarier, more prone to following you than SF ones.

It was through a friend of my fathers that I ended up finding out what a homeless man's bite can do to a martial artist's arm... yeesh.

and don't stand around if they're taking a shit in public, they're more like to do something else with it.

You also can plan your trip in advance with the help of the Poop Map they host online:

About 45 minutes by train. Maybe once or twice a week I get an Uber and it takes 25 but it costs me 40 dollars which is why I don't do it often. The commute on the train started to become okay when I discovered Bluetooth earpods for me. Now I do not hear the insanity around me. The commute on the Ubers are wonderful. I really like to talk to these Persian, Russian and Pakistani men and see their world and stuff. For 25 minutes it is not too much to digest and still exciting. After a while you develop a relationship with them.

i work from home, but i do 1 hour walks every day and 10 minutes of intense cycling on a standing bike , on a high setting, every 2nd day

If i were to go to the office its 30 minutes, 25 mins by subway and 5 min walk

I never talk to the taxi drivers and they never talk to me

Cheery bye!

College - 45 minutes to get there, but I normally leave even earlier because the draw bridge may be up and I have a strong urge to arrive at things way earlier than I should. Idk why.

Work - 60 minutes to get there, but I normally leave even earlier because the draw brid- you get the fucking POINT
