'enjoying that, post-pandemic world eh?, hows that shit? eh"

 I am enjoying it.

Now that Alice and I have both caught covid and she didn't die, our attitude has done a 180°. We are getting sweaty at raves with hundreds of people. We drank from the communal water bottles security passed out in the pits at Rock concerts. I got on 3 planes in the last 2 months and shared a blunt with strangers.

Isolation was detrimental to my mental health and I am enjoying life like never before.

not to pry, totally don't have to answer this at all. but how have you guys gone about affording this life style?

 budgeting.

Sc is pretty boring.

Alice isn't trading anymore, she hasn't in a few months. I'm bankrolling our lifestyle now.

oh okay, i figured it was along these lines but i was just curious! thanks for answering, i always feel weird about asking people invasive questions so like, sorry but. hey, we all need to know how to fund our 'best lives' you feel me!

budgeting certainly is a wonderful thing!

there are many thousands of people who really enjoy the life style of going to concerts / traveling in general and maybe making content about how you budget and afford your 'fun' within reason or providing financial tips for people i could see that being a source of some really high value content, especially marketable to people under the age of 21.

a lot of gen z'ers are into the raves and other concert goings (hey, millenials and everyone in between too) and i've noticed that they pour a lot of their savings or simply work their jobs to afford their concerts really and thats where their interests are.

better yet, setting up some sort of ticket loan company would be a genius idea on an even grander scale. like, buy the ticket now pay later. it sounds silly because like, credit cards. but a lot of people feel safe to use things like klarna and after pay apps rather than credit cards, and there's a whole list of reasons for that but. it would be a genius idea. it's like 'oh i really wanted to make it to this concert in may, but i won't be able to afford it until july' etc.

don't mind me i'm just rambling at this point, i enjoy being creative. head in the clouds mood i guess. lol

the other pressing question i had though was also, are you guys, doing droogz droogz or just the mary jane? totally don't have to answer that as well but just curious your experiences. understandable if you find the question offensive, completely don't even have to answer. no judgement either way, just my curiosity was peaked when you said raves i was like oh, i dunno i forgot that you and alice are the adventurous types.

would love to hear about ya'lls experiences with rave culture in general, it sounds generally positive. this is a whole discussion in itself, i used to go to concerts/raves a lot in my youth so it brings back good vibes for me!

like i wanna know what shows you guys saw and locations and just your experiences. i could share a few myself that i think are worth knowing about / the story be told!

we want #adventures of alice and peach (in wonderland)

yeah i knew that but, teach me lol

If you want to trade and know on average how much money you're going to make per some unit of time, you need to learn how to count cards.

That's hard to do though, so for most putting money into 401k, IRA, and individual indexes like Vanguards is the best bet. A little crypto and maybe 5% of your net worth in Gold isn't a bad choice. The hardest part about that is maintaining a fun life style while budgeting for your future. The more aggressive you invest the sooner you retire.

Also, doing some drugs again has been fun. We don't want to repeat are old mistakes though, so we are trying to keep hard drugs as a very occasional thing. Not against week a few times a month though.

Doesn't everyone casino rotate multiple decks in such a way that you can't really keep track?

Yes, rotating decks and increasing the number of decks in play increases the complexity of the game which as you say makes it hard to keep track of odds as a player.

Beyond that a lot of Casinos add rules and that too drastically changes expected win rate.

Like if the game pays 6-5  your expected rate of return in -1.39%. Through no doubling after splitting and you lose another -0.14%, and no resplits is -0.10%.

The whole point of card counting is that it gives you a positive rate of return but only by a small fraction, but with enough games that small rate of return can make a lot of money because it makes the game a literal money printing machine. By changing the rules thay make the easier methods of card counting still have a negative return rate.

Trading functions on the same principals its just a different kind of games with different rules and odds, you are still functionally just counting cards though.

But isn't that not possible anymore?
