He had the right idea with the jokes. He could've made his accusers look much more silly if he ramped it up and turned it into an exaggeration kinda meme instead of explaining himself with the reporters.
Romania had a president in 2008 that was probably the most hated by local media. He used to discredit journalists by turning allegations into exaggeration jokes and memes on TV turning everything around them, he was great at 4d chess.
If Joe does the same thing he can quickly remove the molestor image and make the accusers look foolish.
