Rather than fantasizing as if he's better than he is, she is appraising everything he does as if he sets the bar.

She's self aware about how her obsession has fucked up her life over the last decade but she's also completely incapable of framing anything outside of the context that is Chapo. No matter what topic is being discussed Chapo is quickly brought up and related to the topic.
