He's like a small child with endless money, and we can see that through how he's treated his employees across all of his ventures. If you actually look at his business history you'd see he's more in the habit of buying into already existing success rather than building his own, and that once his muddy hands get in the cookie jar the entire batch gets ruined. 

This isn't even his first mass-firing, so we can see he doesn't learn his lessons either. His greatest strength is not the ability to make something better, but rather to bring that which he throws himself into towards potential ruin. That is something that can change the world and even get his named penned into the history books, but he will not be remembered as a pioneer.

It's collecting 1/30th of what it costs to host Twitter from people paying for the checkmark (with bans refunding the troll's $8.00), and he's both being sued and having advertisers pull out of the project over how people can imitate any celebrity or brand on a system that enough people still treat legitimately enough to affect them. 

People are logging on there to troll larger forces, which is great on it's own in the name of comedy, but it's hemorrhaging Elon's money at a startling rate in return while an audience laughs at his terrible choices and rules contradictions.

Elon tweeted that over the next coming months Twitter will be doing a lot of dumb things. At the moment there isn't any of that going on, so no, there is no imitating celebrities happening on there right now. You really thought that was still happening ? 

If anything, it created some nice hype for the platform. Twitter is more fun with Elon. More inclusive too, more people on it.

He bought into the company after they were already a thing, and then unleashed many plans that either never made it off the ground or were a complete waste of money and resources (like the Vegas Strip installation he did). 

In many cases, like Paypal, they ended up better off once he was off the project.

You often when something bad is happening start proclaiming "It isn't real", like when women's rights were under fire here in the US recently. In Twitter's case it is still happening, and his current solution is to introduce multiple colors for checkmarks. 🍿

Once the checkmarks can't be used for trolling anymore there will be a lot less money coming to the website, money which, again, can't even pay for more than 1/30th of it's monthly costs, as the advertising support continues to pull out once trolls hit them like they did at Lilly.

This is what happens when you fire the team of people who have actual experience with this. Even if he didn't agree with them their experience would be invaluable at least for bouncing ideas off of them, but instead he's just winging it by himself for the most part as his claims crumble to dust. At the very least these people would make decent consultants for what to expect from people on the platform over being that much more netsavvy, considering that even Youtube personalities saw a lot of these problems coming well in advance over that alone.

More accounts doesn't mean more people, and the only reason it's fun for people right now is over how this isn't just hitting him in the pocketbook (hard) in a way that could eventually kill it, but over how it's making Twitter, and Elon with it, lose whatever credibility it and he once had.

No, I'm laughing at the clown committing to yet another failure for his portfolio of it. 

I was never a Twitter person beyond following a few names and linking towards it when it was relevant, but watching what others are doing with it lately has been up there with the times 4chan repeatedly trolled Shia Lebouf. 

All it takes to make Elon go back on his own claims is to have your account impersonate him, he's being inconsistent and changing the rules every time someone pokes at the holes in his poorly cobbled plans.
