Talent Show. Man with accordian walks on stage.

Posted Image

The judges ask "what is your name ?"

Posted Image

but the man acted as though he was fixing some technical difficulties with his accordian. The judges asked over and over again, but the man acted too busy. Maybe his costume made him too interesting to eject from the stage. The audience was amused and the 2 female judges were also laughing. Simon and david wasn't wasn't impressed and kept asking the first question. What is your name what is your name !?

The man starts playing The Little Mermaid's Under D Sea, and starts singing. The judges asked WHAT IS YOUR NAME !? The audience starts laughing.

Simon hits the red buzzer, followed by Alesha. As an observation, Simon is a smoker, so during these shows we often see him fidgeting, or everytime he speaks or takes an action, he'll reach for his drink. Taking a sip fills the void of not being able to smoke, so him taking sips is like taking a drag.

Also Alesha is entertained by this man just like the crowd and Amanda ( the woman in red )

The man comes down the stairs, making hit sounds to a grinding halt as the crowd was clapping along to Under D sea. David and Alesha ( who is clearly amused ) ask for the millionth time WHAT IS YOUR NAME !?

Posted Image

The man seems to be ignoring Simon, he knows that's a lost cause, but with a bright and cheery smile he finally tells the judges his name, and the crowd goes nuts. David then asks, how old are you ? The man says his age. They ask, where are you from ?

The man starts shredding a cheap riff on his instrument, hit's the playback and continues with a better sounding version of Under the Sea. The music came back like magical reggae, and this time more of the crowd was into it. Amanda was totally into this act and was giggling, Simon reached over and hit Amanda's Buzzer.

Amanda freaks out. For a moment she was like a little girl being bullied by some kid, asking a parent to take away the ex. Maybe Under D Sea was very enchanting for her. We can also see Alesha is clearly amused, she just hit the red buzzer cause Simon did it.

There she is "Put away the X now !"

The man finishes and gets a standing ovation. Simon hates when his ego gets smashed.

As an experiment you the reader.....

Imagine the above presentation, take the time to imagine it. Play it out in your head. Then see if it matches the footage.

Personally I liked the act, but Simon was kinda right, he wasn't good enough compared to what he was up against. I think what made his act better, was how he treated the judges, If this performer went about it any other way the presentation wouldn't be as good.

It was fun. I watched this and skimmed it over 100 times this past week and there are tons of psychological details. The OP itself couldn't handle anymore images, it was crashing the page so I made a short version of the breakdown with little to no details.

His 2nd performance on the show wasn't as good, he did a lion king song, it was disappointing. Don't watch it.

Why did the first act come across as so good though ?

Was it because he was putting on a Caribbean accent even though it was distorted by his original accent ?

Was it because he was ignoring the judges questions and went right into the act, stopped half way and clowned the judges into asking him questions like they are paparazzi ?

Or..........Was it because the people have spoken ? If he got booed then it's likely he would've have made it through to the next round. I think this is the reason.

Dude's singing voice is flat af and he couldn't answer a simple question, I'm with Simon on this one.

Talent show again.

Another accordion act. This one is a comedian. Not as decorated as the OP and this guy never surfaced again. Not the greatest act either.

I see the charm, and I like the act. Simon doesn't change his mind as usual.

Maybe it's the same phenomenon where the masses are the 5th and most powerful hidden judge able to sway the votes of the sitting judges. I do like these types of presentations where the ex's get pulled.

This one is the ultimate comeback, and is far more noteworthy than the above French Accent act.

I don't particularly like the song, but what I do like to see is how the song's message affected a room full of people despite how terrible it is. In being bad, it then becomes okay, even comical. I imagine being there live would've made the song more admirable, still I think what he did is a great thing. Maybe it's not that the song is any good, but rather, how so many people are able to identify with the message. On that note, I like a little pasta with my cheese, and if it's served, I never ask for more when I'd like more.

So you like no talent hacks who make the competition a farce?

2 of the 3 acts were finalists. The last one is what I like least, and I never posted any of my favorite acts.

I'm interested in the 1 hit wonder aspect of these acts and felt it's worth discussing.

Yeah, they make the competition a farce.

Get them outside of the boundaries of a talent show and they will fail 90% of the time. Not all of them can pull a William Hung:

That was trash TC.

There was a show about 20 years ago that would put terrible singers on stage and pretend they were good. It was kinda cruel cause they would raise the contestants spirits and drop them with the cold truth, that music video might have been from that.

This guy would be my all time favorite American Idol. He's seems autistic and despite his hair colour he was actually in his early 20's when they filmed these episodes in 2006. Simon is looking to produce super stars so when it comes to this show he's interested in how the contestant looks.

Show goes on they do their cuts. Man comes back like this.

Dude came back show after show dominating everything that came out of his mouth, Simon went long denying him until eventually after Episode whatever Simon finally cracked and could no longer ignore how great he is. He eventually went on to win the season.

Not only is that guy my all time favorite American Idol singer, but he was 100% immune to Simon's disapproval which is fantasy like for these contestants.

Perhaps this is why I like it when the underdogs perform. When one is told they cannot by authorities, but they break the barrier and succeed. That's what I like to see. If the performance is shit and they make it for no reason, I'd personally carry on disliking the shitty act, with that I'll say, your Kevin Hung doesn't impress me no matter how far he makes it.
