If it charges fast enough you can probably rotate 2 of them for when the other dies.

Hardwood floor won't be a problem unless the thing itself is making direct contact with the floor. It's a wearable blutooth diloe.

Play some music if you don't want the others hearing it. Test it by leaving the room while it's running etc. Muffle it etc.
