I'm going to answer your question with another question.
For the flipside of it, how responsible are you for fortunate stuff that happens to someone else or to all of humanity? The answer for this is the same as the answer to your question.
until Turncoat and anyone else responds- my perspective right now is that I am not responsible for anything unfortunate happening to someone else unless I physically attack them with the intention to cause physical damage to them, but in the past I have blamed myself for everything from covid happening to if someone who had pissed me off became sick or was doing financially worse than they used to and so on because I had magical thinking and I wanted to feel powerful like I could make people learn their lesson for behaving like assholes but more recently like the past couple months I am trying to practice thinking more realistically instead of overcompensating for feeling powerless over people behaving like assholes

lol true, and isn't it soo awesome that with all of the benevolent compassionate loving feelings and hopes that I have towards humanity that I rarely ever gave myself credit for when fortunate stuff happens to people that is super fucked up and definitely a borderline pd trait issue
