It gives people as sense of control and power over their own lives as they apply the results on top of what would have likely happened anyway, so it makes sense that it'd be more commonly done by the 'secondary' gender, but we are seeing it coming up from men more and more often as time goes on (women still tend to do better when it comes to drawing others to it though).

If someone almost gets hit by a car for example, they'd likely flash back to the time they drew this from the deck: 



By assigning symbols to events that would happen without the knowledge of them, it gives the illusion of having seen it coming. People do the same mindtrick over horoscopes.

I saw it spread pretty evenly to both overtime, we all kinda did eachother's stuff, but then again it was a private school in California that used to be an all girls school that taught us ballet and theater, so that probably blended some areas.
