Obviously not all of them, but the rares maybe. If it's potential value is related to how much it costs to insure it than selling the others might be how to pay for the illustrator card. Just based on odds alone I would assume it's not legitimate if not otherwise authenticated and appraised, so it may not be worth it.
I can't predict how long this price hike will last either, I'm surprised it's even happening.

Pretty sure the illustrator card thanks to 'The Logan Paul thing' is worth more than it used to be, and in general with Youtube/Twitch hype over unboxing card packs and reselling them it's been more popular.
Usually when product links with clout you see prices go up.
When I think about it more, if insuring a card for authentication costs in relation to the card's believed inherent value, then making fakes of very expensive cards would be an effective way to dissuade people from checking to see if it's real.
