There are rats in the alleyway by the bus stop and I have been giving them peanut butter. I named one of them rodentia which is the order of rodents. Rodents are mammals with a singular pair of growing incisors from the top and bottom of their mouths and almost half of all mammals are actually rodents. Rodents are not be confused with lagomorphs, although they are related and are thought to share common evolutionary ancestors known as the multituberculates, or the multituberculata, which are named for their multituberculate teeth. No one really knows why they went extinct, but there are many theories, most of which are shit.
Anyway another rat for that very reason, who has the darkest coat color and is obviously a male, I have names mulitiburson, a combination of multituberculate and son, which is named that as a nod to being a descendant of such creatures.
He is far more shy than the rest, I expect this is due to him being a different type of rat than the rest, as he is a roof rat wheras the other rats are clearly Norway rats.
