I think that is the Canadian slang term, not sure. Are Americans familiar with the term ?

 Tim Horton's isn't the king anymore. Ever since the McCafe was introduced, McDonald's has been working around the clock to bring those line ups to their properties. Sometimes they'd give us free coffee. All it took was 1 sip for Canadian's to recognize who's now #1 in dealing the morning meth.

I don't know where the term double double came from, we've been using it since I started drinking coffee.
