what is a neurotypical? how would you define this?

someone who was not born with a mutation in their brain, nor has brain damage or a form of neurodivergence/mental illness later in life.

How similar would you say each neurotypical is to one another?

i think they are all very different despite having key things in common.

Okay just checking, as at this point I am more of the mind that neurotypicality does not exist so much as average into a perceived norm people try to live up to.

Everyone's nuts once you account for their variations upon their perceptions, but it's not considered disorderly unless/until they begin to function too poorly to blend in. I've seen plenty of delusional people who would otherwise not be considered insane.

yes erase everything because a spectrum exists, the true way of science. good job tc, by god you have done it again. how unique and quirky of you.

again, so we "erase" everything because of the law of the spectrum?

My point is more that neurotypicals aren't typical.

Except I'm not dipping into simulation theory, I'm talking about how neurotypicality is more a myth than it appears, an average cobbled together from looking at multiple people's assumed functionality.

The more you get to know people, the more you see that they are neurodivergent from the base template. Just because you're more messed up than normal doesn't suddenly lump the others into their own group, it's a spectrum.
