I love these small breakfast diners SO MUCH. Seriously, these blueberry pancake breakfasts with scrambled eggs and hashbrown are worth dying for. The small diners here are frigging amazing.
People seem curious about my accent, which took me by surprise. Nobody in the US really cared before, but I've received the weirdest compliments here. Seems like an Ohio thing.
There was one guy today that invited me to stay with his family, so I'm going to move there for tomorrow. Apparently originally from Egypt and moved to Ohio because his daughter got a university offer from here. He treated me to some cooking by his wife and randomly invited me to stay with the family.
I couldn't find any axe throwing places, but I totally dominated in foosball against some random locals I met at an arcade bar and went to one of these VR adventures with some old local lady.
It's been fun so far.

Assuming you're from somewhere in Europe, you'll probably find the foods in the US to be richer. They generally use more sugar than what's legal where you're from.
Craving omelette now.
It's great. I've lived in the US for some time, but not in the Midwest. Right now, I'm living outside the US, the food is definitely very different. I love especially the breakfast here, there's something about waking up and walking to one of these local small diners with old folks sitting down, enjoying their hash brown with a cup of coffee, chatting with the waitress lady who they've probably known for the last 5 years. One of them asked me if I can help them fix their car. I like the small town feel, I especially enjoyed visiting Easton Town. People here are really welcoming.
