Feeding Our Life Long Friends

If you feed your gut biome correctly, it may help with depression.

Is Your Anxiety or Depression Caused by Gut-Brain Connection Serotonin Levels?

"Serotonin, also known as the pleasure hormone, smoothes the ups and downs of emotions caused by depression, fears, and anxiety.

What’s even more amazing is that researchers are discovering that as much as 90-95 percent of your body’s serotonin is produced in the gut. " https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5526216/

Yeah, this has really started freaking me out. Turns out, when you talk and "you",  You really have to talk about "we" because we are a symbiotic relationship with our gut biome.

The gut biome has great power over your mood, your hunger and your health. I suggest you treat them well and with the great respect they deserve.

Apparently, the gut biome cells out number the cells in your body. So "you" are mostly "them".

Recent Links Between The Gut Microbiome and Cancer

https://www.viome.com/blog/recent-links-between-gut-microbiome-and-cancer

"One of the key factors that may influence our immune system, is our gut microbiome. When healthy and balanced, the gut microbiome helps to regulate the response of our immune system. However, when imbalanced – as in gut dysbiosis – an unhealthy gut microbiome may increase the exposure of inflammation."

"The lead scientist of this study, Dr. Melanie Rutkowski noted, "Disrupting the microbiome resulted in long-term inflammation within the tissue and the tumor environment.” She suggested that, “having an unhealthy microbiome, and the changes that occur within the tissue that are related to an unhealthy microbiome, may be early predictors of invasive or metastatic breast cancer.”"

"Many gut microbes have also been shown to help support the health of colonocytes in a natural symbiotic relationship. When gut microbial imbalance occurs, under the right conditions, this can lead to drastic changes to colonocyte instability that promotes leaky gut syndrome and leads to disorders like irritable bowel disease, Crohn’s, and colorectal cancer development. 6 These disorders can also perpetuate a chronic inflammatory response… and we know where that might lead."

This is insane and may be the key to health. ??
