Yes.
She would visit him at every opportunity she can get. Potentially she'll be allowed to make physical contact with him and they will. Maybe she'll be able to bang him in exchange for some type of currency. In prison good behavior is often rewarded with privilege. A carton of smokes or she'll order him whatever he wants to eat under the supervision of a corrections officer.
It could be that along the lines of his sentence she'll take her imposed love away so he'll have a dose of life without her. Chapo will then be stuck hustling for smokes and eating mystery meat for lunch.
Chapo is like a lizard, so when Med returns, he'll show little to no appreciation, but Med will sense it anyway and reward him a combo from 5 Guys.
