I think it's a neat idea personally, I've seen something similar done with a psychological assessment. The results are averaged by those who answered similarly based upon their own self-assessment of who they think they are and aren't the most similar to.
While it won't necessarily give accurate answers, it will give answers that reflect the mindset of people who've answered similarly.
