buddhism and hinduism vs. Christianity

so there are aspects of both buddhism and hinduism that seem right and fit into my previous new age beliefs,  but If Jesus is God then I know that I will eventually come to see that both of those belief systems when contracted with Christianity  (that is Christianity practiced correctly,  which includes nonviolence and not going around spitefully condemning everyone and playing holier than thou like the Pharisees of back in the day  🙄)

so yeah this is a thread for me to contrast these other two "peaceful and nonharmful" belief systems with properly practiced Christianity and see which one of the three really comes out to be the most peaceful and nonharmful of these three belief systems

Jesus help me see wisdom and truth,  Amen  😊😇🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊✝️

Is this just for you, or can others participate, as long as we all stick to the topic?

other people can participate,  but like I am at the very beginning of my exploration of this topic so this is like one of those ones that I eventually want to come to a final conclusion on,  but it will probably take a while to reach that conclusion because there is a lot to take into consideration on this topic

Hinduism is not per se peaceful. There is a great warrior culture in those religions. Also there are animal sacrifices.

Well, I enjoy this topic and may know or might also be exploring these things too.  I think it actually could prove a good thread.

As long as we all remember it is in the spirit of discussion, not something else. :)

k see I did not even know enough about this religion to know this,  which is why I know that to come to a final conclusion on this topic it is going to take more than the light research that I have done into buddhism and Hinduism lol  :p  thank you for sharing

I am interested if that is like an essential xore practice of Hinduism,  or if it is like a cult split off like say Idk people calling themselves Christian who violently invaded other peoples and tried to force convert them  because in the latter,  that is not like a core essential practice of Christianity and very much goes against the turn the other cheek non violent approach to winning souls to God

Yes,  I am interested and excited to talk about this topic  I suppose that I was intimidated for a while,  but If Jesus's way really is the most peaceful and least harmful way,  then his way should be provably beneficial to all of our psychological and spiritual wellbeings  (taking into consideration that God is more interested in preparing us for eternal life during this lifetime,  and not so much making this lifetime super comfortable physically)

A good place to start, I think, would be to examine Buddhism’s Four Noble Truths and The Eightfold Path, and how they compare with Christianity, including the Commandments.

(I’ll have to come back to this later, myself, but here’s where I’m going to focus on first.)

Christianity is reverse engineered from all that came before and counts as the truest of all religions - pick up the bible and read.
