I-statements tend to not be as prone to them, it's when judging others that people have a tendency to air out the commonalities they find grating between the both of them.

Nothing in The Bible described Projection as far as I know..?

Matthew 7:1-5

7 Judge not, that ye be not judged.

2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.

3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

I was going to say maybe you should read the scriptures more Turncoat,  but so should I  :p

No I posted the full passage verses 1-5,  It is exactly what he is talking about

Projection is similar, but it's more of a subset of hypocrisy.

This passage moreso goes on about not judging or helping another for something wrong with yourself, while Projection is more about the tendency to see others through the lens of ourselves. 

Projection to a large degree is unavoidable, but awareness of it helps it be less blatant. How else are we supposed to see and understand the world other than through ourselves, therefor, how could any person hope to escape projection when they can only see the world in connection to themselves?
