Being quick's no picnic either, and people with less going on upstairs from what I've seen tend to find it easier to accept gospel from having less questions to ask over it.
No that is not true at all, It's just that Jesus's way is obviously right and correct and healthy and the intelligent ones do not waste as much time as the curious ones such as myself :/ they spend more time doing instead of asking "Why"
Ecclesiastes goes at length over how I'm right in this case, that knowledge and wisdom have no value on this world but as distractions from the divine. When you only need to truly know one thing you don't have to be quick to get it, if anything being quick is liable to run past it and follow tangent paths instead, finding themselves wanting 'more' sooner and otherwise finding it easier to doubt over Dunning Kruger concerns.
Really though, I've met enough people to see their mental speeds, and religion tends to come easier to slower people or people who are otherwise emotionally burnt out and confused from being at a transitionary stage of life.
With less questions and less doubt comes more ease with adjusting to it, as is true with most religions.
from what I've seen, the people who understand the scriptures quickly are usually 1) Intelligent but 2) already not very hypocritical or prone to believing lies and delusional stuff out of pride, as in they are already decently "righteous-minded" (when contrasted with the rest of humanity)
Are we using intelligence to mean the same thing?
You seem to see it as a mental attribute that contributes to success, while I see it as the predisposition to acquire knowledge and question their surroundings, literally something The Bible talks about for it's pointlessness.
A lot of dumb people succeed where a lot of smart ones end up digging their own grave.
Everything that I am confused on about the scriptures has always been because I was blinded by my own hypocrisy and proneness to believe lies
As a practitioner of d20 I'd throw that under 'Wisdom' personally.
yeah I think that I am stupid for not figuring out how to become "righteous-minded" sooner lol
What someone believes isn't necessarily as stupid as why they believe in it.
