He does have a point though (this time), living impoverished also means you cannot give back.
The Bible doesn't say you should be penniless, just not greedy.

............I'm not penniless, I moved so that I could help people who are and surrounded myself with them the way that Jesus and the apostles did
They didn't hang out in castles and mansions with rich people, they spent all of their time hanging out with the poor and sick and helping them
use your brains, this isn't rocket science guys
prioritizing having money more than for like the basic essentials is not Jesus's will, unless you are giving it away to people in actual need
this is the life of an actual apostle............ following after Jesus is not a "pleasant comfortable life" externally and does not involve the comforts of wealth
2 Corinthians 11:21-31
21 I speak as concerning reproach, as though we had been weak. Howbeit whereinsoever any is bold, (I speak foolishly,) I am bold also.
22 Are they Hebrews? so am I. Are they Israelites? so am I. Are they the seed of Abraham? so am I.
23 Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft.
24 Of the Jews five times received I forty stripes save one.
25 Thrice was I beaten with rods, once was I stoned, thrice I suffered shipwreck, a night and a day I have been in the deep;
26 In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren;
27 In weariness and painfulness, in watchings often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness.
28 Beside those things that are without, that which cometh upon me daily, the care of all the churches.
29 Who is weak, and I am not weak? who is offended, and I burn not?
30 If I must needs glory, I will glory of the things which concern mine infirmities.
31 The God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which is blessed for evermore, knoweth that I lie not.

Jesus also hung with tax collectors, he did not differentiate as much as you seem to.

Jesus did hang out with rich people though, check the fables of Luke.

The point of Jesus is that wealth had no value to him, he did not need to abstain from it.

the point is also that wealth did used to have value to me, which is why I do need to abstain from it
Matthew 19:21
21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
Every follower of Jesus has to give up specific things, s**ual lust and material pleasures and the comforts that come with having material prosperity are two of mine that were getting in the way of me following after Jesus
And the crowds asked him, “What then shall we do?”
And he answered them, “Whoever has two tunics is to share with him who has none, and whoever has food is to do likewise.”
Tax collectors also came to be baptized and said to him, “Teacher, what shall we do?”
And he said to them, “Collect no more than you are authorized to do.”
Soldiers also asked him, “And we, what shall we do?” And he said to them, “Do not extort money from anyone by threats or by false accusation, and be content with your wages.”

yes, I am thrilled that you understand :)🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊🕊✝️
that being said, I am horrible at generosity and this is what Jesus and I are going to be working on this year but it partly requires me being able to take care of myself and being functional and that is presently a struggle because Satan has me bound and confused in many ways, which is why I am and will be continuing to pursue deliverance
Satan really has me under quite a lot of bondage and spiritual oppression and it all happens at a subconscious spiritual level, and manifests in my inability to do the things that I want to do with my life but this should alleviate the more deliverance that I receive from Jesus
The passage above effectively just says give what you can and don't live for greed. If you only have one tunic then you don't need to give it away.
You don't have to downgrade your quality of life, but they aren't fond of hoarding practices.
Also I always saw Christianity as the BDSMy ones, whether it's because they want their S.O. to treat them like God if not over the restraints of the faith giving them a bit of a restraints fetish.
Satanic types tend to be more like "You do you man, and do it with confidence".

I had way more than one tunic, and I was surrounded by others who did as well and I mean an excessive amount of material possessions and that was a bad influence on myself and my own tendency to purchase an excessive amount of things and expensive things
