The grayscale shot is shit, the lighting from your phone makes your face look photoshopped on. Grayscale is also meant to add definition and shading to the shot, making it more intense, but your photo is all washed out and as such not taking any advantage of the filter. I'd recommend a spotlight of some kind, even if it's just you propping a flashlight somewhere for extreme close ups. 

You also have a nasty habit of staring at your phone for pictures, which reduces the perception of confidence from the subject the same way a thespian would look ridiculous reading everything from cue cards. The backgrounds also leave much to be desired, you ought to consider having yourself as the subject take shots in less expected places than the mirror, it's so blasé during the internet age.
