Apps & Accounts you deleted and why

Quora

1. it forced me to download it and make an account when I wanted to use the site one time to answer a question I had.
2. in order to view the answer to the question I had to make an account

3. I didn’t have anymore questions after that but found it interesting it showed me stuff related to being a student and I thought it was helpful

4. it started spamming me with notifications and emails on every possible front to the point where it became all consuming and suffocating

5. It started showing me questions less and less related to the student content over time for some odd reason

6. It just showed me questions that I guess were trending and had lots of clicks or searches and majority of them were nasty and far from things I cared to think about

7. finally it showed me a question that said something like “what does a prostate feel like?” And that was the final straw for me as I was tired of going through my Notification Center and reading such foul thoughts from other people’s disturbing minds

8. The content it would show me was entirely unrelated to my areas of interest but I couldn’t make it stop, on top of that the level of annoying it had reached was far beyond what any sane person could tolerate

Word of advice, Quora is spam, and the content they’ve allowed on their site is “anything goes” a lot of it is foul and for some reason the algorithm pushes that disgusting content to your phone and inundates you with it.

Don’t make a Quora account. Lol I unsubscribed from emails across all my accounts and blocked the sender(s) and deleted the app, disabled account.

To summarize, in the wise words of our lady meme, “ain’t nobody got time for that.”

I tried tinder twice, First time I didn't last an hour, deleted it and second time was I think a few months later, I lasted maybe 2 days? Deleted it.

It honestly put a lot of weight on my chest, the app terrified me to my core. I kept dreading getting swiped right and every time I did, I dreaded getting a notification, not only that but I hated the very idea of swiping right on people who were out of my league. Plus, the whole thing is pretty much from what I know to hook up and fuck, and I wasn't about that. Girls who sell their body would message me and ask if I wanted to pay them to fuck. Plus, I had nothing to put in my bio or say about myself as I don't know who I am.

Even if I somehow did find a girl to date through that. The very concept of them meeting my family is dreadful, and I'd rather be out on my own before I ever date. Also, I was just questioning anyone who wanted to speak to me if they were even real.

Deleting an account seems rather dramatic imo.

I deleted Instagram after our weird neighbor from like 7 years ago started following me. I'm pretty sure she killed one of their pet pugs lol
