Crack is freebase cocaine. Cocaine is cocaine hydrochloride. Crack is simply cocaine cooked with either baking soda or amonia. I know the difference u fuckwit.

How would this make crack better? 

It's always sucked, but (for me at least) it used to serve a helpful function of diverting my energy from sending drunk texts to people late at night. Better for those thoughts to disappear into the internet void.
