You don't have to be, and they will see your views as quite aberrant over both the philosophy you carry and the expressions of your faith compared to the norm. If they know the terminology they, like myself, will call your views Gnostic.
That being said fuck those people who'd fear you, you're trying to get better and if they get worse as a result of hearing your supposed blasphemy then that's on them for having a weak faith.
