South Korea
New infections in South Korea, with a population of 51.3 million people, increased more than any other nation – by nearly 2 million cases, a 44% spike in the past week. Approximately 86 percent of South Koreans have received at least two vaccine doses.
Germany
Germany’s weekly COVID infections increased by 1.3 million – a 20 percent rise. Germany, with 83.2 million residents, reported a double vaccination rate of about 75 percent as of the end of February. The nation has struggled with rising case rates most of this year.
Vietnam
Vietnam, with 98.8 million people reported 1.1 million new cases – 35 percent increase. About 78 percent of Vietnam’s population have received at least two doses as of March 3, according to Statista."
