Mites

So I just found out there are mites that live on our skin everywhere even our face and it’s probably on your pillow and bed too

So does that mean that when you wash things you are killing the mites?

is it in our hair on our scalp too?

is it just our face that it’s on or is it all over??

why didn’t I learn about mites in bio courses in college classes at all? I mean not even once.

I knew mites and things like that existed on pillows and of course bacteria. But I thought that was only if you let it “go” like a really dirty pillow and as long as you regularly washed your pillow and changed your sheets your bed was virtually big free and bacteria was at a minimal level where it should be to be considered “clean”

so if you wash your face like once a day (and take full shower) and wash your bedding and pillow stuff once a week, you should be basically mite free right?

Or is this not the case and we have mites living on us

also, does UV kill mites? Is flash device required or just regular direct sun exposure?

also, why. Why do mites have to live in a symbiotic relationship on our skin and is there anything else I can do in addition to what I mentioned to completely prevent them from existing on my bed and face/body.

Like, a spray for the bed that deters them like essential oils or something like is that the point of bed sprays?

Does Bunsen burners lamp oil prevent them? If I put a really nice filtration system in my air too like a UV one

and then maybe a really good like facial oil after an intense cleaner like… maybe the thing that they use for blue light defense or sunscreen would prevent them. Or, blue algae?

You know, this is really interesting to me and I think I’m going to put more research and thought into it and look for products that prevent bacteria and mites for body/face and for your bed

I’ve seen some cool bed cleaning devices out there, and I have a UV machine as well that’s hospital grade you can flash an entire room with And that thing kills everything man.

I’m not OCD I swear I just think it’s really gross but also, from an entrepreneurial stand point and from a biological research stand point (dermatology, etc, whatever) I find it all very interesting.

Something as simple as pH could possibly prevent the mites? But you don’t really want to mess with the pH of your skin of course

but… yeah…I suppose its one of the lesser important things to research about out there, and it’s not, something that you can ever really truly stop from happening so it makes sense most people wouldn’t be interested in preventing them. We are in a symbiotic relationship with loads of bacterium on our skin and inside us everywhere all over our body so

I suppose people see it as not that big of a deal but I dunno man…

Kinda want to have no mites just to see if it can be done

I know removing them is one thing but I’m talking about preventing them from adhering to your skin and bed like a preventative

this is so disgusting lol

this is your PSA to be more hygienic go clean your bed and wash your face
