I can grant you that the vaccine companies could plausibly make money even if their product had side effects. However, my point was that there's also a huge pile of money waiting there for people in businesses that are harmed by restrictions.
I don't buy into that whole "they're trying to make money by <insert global warming or any conspiracy>." There's money in everything for someone, always. There's money in producing a good vaccination, there's money in exposing bad vaccinations. If you just look at the inflow of cash and not at the actual scientific evidence, you will be basing your opinions and views on nothing tangible. Your problem is that you look at money in/outflow to understand a medical question.
1% death rate among young people? Let's say that's true and that somehow the non-fatal cases don't matter. Suppose, however, that the vaccines make transmission significantly less likely. That would mean if 80% or more people are vaccinated, you reduce transmission significantly. Would that be enough to convince you that it will be beneficial to the society at large? If you can contain the virus, you can also avoid the risk of overflooding the hospitals and containing the virus. That 1% assumes everyone gets hospital help. Look at what happened in Italy during the first wave when the hospitals flooded.
What makes me think the vaccine will be safe after five years, ten years, or even twenty years? It's the scientists, medical experts, and doctors. If the vaccine wasn't safe, why is it that the medical experts around the world seem to be convinced it's safe?
I don't have the medical expertise to evaluate how safe the vaccinations are. However, this is the single biggest event of our time. How is it that the whole medical community of the entire world, which is laser-focused on the pandemic, seems to be convinced that the vaccination is safe? Are they all a part of the global conspiracy, including my cousin John Dick? Is he also a part of the conspiracy? You'd be a hero if you showed how the vaccinations are not safe. You'd become the most famous doctor in the world overnight. Why hasn't that happened?
Participation in human trials? I'll grant you that it may have been quicker than some vaccinations, which I think you could rightly criticize. I certainly criticized that. However, I'd argue that by now there's quite a lot of data on the vaccination.
It does harm people. People die from it. Also, it’s not like I’m saying no one should take it. I’m saying you guys should all take it and I’ll hold off. I’m just not into putting random stuff into my body. I don’t get the flu shot anymore because I got the shot and then the sickest I have ever been, so now I avoid the shots. I just have adverse reactions to them or none at all. Like, I got the chicken pox shot and never got the chickenpox, but also have no immunity to it. I can still get the chickenpox even though I got the shot. Worthless and that one has been tested and around for at least ten years. So I’ll be the last one to take the Covid vaccine.

Sure, that's fine. The point is that the risk analysis tells us that it's safer to get the vaccine than not getting it. It's not like I'm saying there are no rare side effects.
You have the right not to do anything to your body, regardless of the reasons. Nobody is forcing an injection on you.

Ya know to an extent I understand the concern, but I believe it’s much harder to find any work right now and it’s impossible to travel anywhere and some places now can require a vaccine passport to allow entry or something. Basically people are losing rights due to being unvaccinated and I don’t like it as a person who got his booster shot almost 4 months ago.

Ok, I understand. This is about having the right to do what you want with your body and make your own decisions.
However, I'd argue that you'd be trampling on other people's rights. If someone is a risk to public health, there's no reason for others to agree to being exposed to a virus due to that person's decisions. If I invite someone to come to my house, it's up to me to decide whether or not I let someone who is a risk to me and my family in. They can choose not to get the injection, but I just won't let them visit my house then.

Yeah well I don’t see the virus really going anywhere for a while. I don’t care about anybody’s vaccination status. People limit themselves in certain ways. I try not to. I know quite a few unvaccinated people who I care about a lot.
