It's always Pinkie Pie featured in these kinds of things.
That's because pinky is best pony.
You brony?

Nah man, Rarity's more my speed:
You brony?
I'm brony-adjacent.
I stopped watching when Lauren Faust's impacts were completely gone and the writers began to sell out to the 4chan fandom, she was the show for me just as much as she was the show for Powerpuff Girls.

That makes sense. I would have done the same if it weren't for that it was my routine to watch the show.
The musical episodes are also spooky to me, I've watched their songs hit the Glee crowd really hard. Back when I was still in college when this was coming out I saw it grab all of my roommates one by one until only I remained, watching them all sing along to shit like Winter Wrap Up all wide eyed and junk while I stared in horror.
I was reluctant to give the show a chance until I'd seen the Discord episode where the ponies become terrible to each other, then I saw the clever elements I'd grown to love from Faust's writing (so many puns like wow) and a surprising amount of depth given to everypony (and my appreciation in the Buffalo episode where they use the word 'everyone' the only time I've seen it said that way). Even some of the rhyme gimmicks from Zecora didn't have me cringing as badly as I'd expected, the show has hidden depths.
Still no idea what their plan was for Applejack, that did not turn out nearly as well as the rest of the Mane Five.

The mlp songs are the autism fuel I need to get myself together for the eldritch lovecraftian horrors than are the day.

I get that, that's pretty much what I get out of LoFi and Jazz. It helps with the agoraphobia that can rear it's ugly head from time to time.
Musical numbers though don't buzz the same for me, probably from my time having done musical theater. I can't really just enjoy it when I'm stuck comparing and studying it's affect, and it's extra spooky to see entire crowds of people's eyes glisten in unison like what I'd grown to see from pieces like Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog. I suspect I might be desensitized or something, as people falling into the music seems to be the normal thing, even a lot of shows featuring a Musical Episode for such a crowd with rave reviews to follow it.

I enjoy how the song creates the illusion of social and emotional connection with another individual which is something I seldom experience IRL. The exaggerated facial expressions in unison with one another gives me an experience I cannot have away from simplistic children's cartoons, which is understanding the feelings of a social dynamic, or "reading the room"

I feel the same, but over Media in general. It's a shared experience that records into the mind similarly to having witnessed the same event or having gone through the same experiences, and through it people end up with a shared collection of knowledge that can be called upon in conversations.

It does help, assuming the animator's good at it.
