It's always about style and choice of medium. That's why we remember Picasso for his Cubism, and Michelangelo for his sculptures. They both dabbled in many styles and mediums, and they weren't great at all of them.

What I mean is that I don't think artistic ability exists on a linear graph with merit or success. Warhol's stuff, for eg, wasn't as technically proficient as that of many contemporary artists. 

I think she's got enough ability to be "good", but that mediums that favor imagination and individual expression over technical ability might be more forgiving.
