What emotions feel like:

What do emotions feel like to you?

I'll explain what emotions feel like to me.

Happiness: A cool summer breeze inside my heart.

Fear: Alarms going off that make it hard to think straight.

Love: Happiness, addiction (like a craving), playful, connection, joie de vie.

Sadness: Nails in my chests and wrists (manifests to physical pain too when strong enough).

Anger: Sadness taken a step further into indignation where I feel sense of anger (wanting to inflict pain). I'm rarely ever angry. More likely just irritated when I 'seem' angry. 

Irritated: Impatient, a fly buzzing around, bothered, mild persistent headache.

Happiness: Contentment.  Mmmm...  Waking up, soft sheets in bed.

Fear: Worry or concern.  Ants and bugs crawling on skin.

Love: Affection, caring, concern.  Warm, flooding liquid.

Sadness: Disappointment, despair, hopelessness.  Cold, icy waters.

Anger: Disappointment, distance, disgust.  Invincible raging inferno.

Irritated: Annoyed, disappointment, disregard.  Cool, indifferent embers.

Most of the time my usual emotions are muted compared to norms.  Anger = annoyance, sadness = disappointment, etc.  Triggers have to be strong to get deeper.

Schizoid, yanno?  I could be poetic, but this is direct.

Sadness: Heaviness. 

Anger: Itching. 

Irritated: Achy.

I don't know how to describe how I feel, sometimes I question the reality of my own emotions and whether or not what I am thinking and feeling is somehow a delusion. It gets quite confusing and I attribute it to feeling like whitenoise. As I question what I feel, and what memories and what aspects of me could be true or not. A man of great uncertainty I suppose. 


What is intense can be euphoria and happiness, or hate and rage, or sometimes strong depression, and the mood swings switch so fast, thats what makes me question it, and i can things that feel like they are happening at the same time, like euphoria and rage.

Yes. A lot like how freshly cleaned laundry feels and smells. I most often compare it to a nice summer breeze in my heart because that's what I felt most similar to happiness. That and the feeling of happiness of swinging up high on the swings!

Fear: Worry or concern.  Ants and bugs crawling on skin.

Love: Affection, caring, concern.  Warm, flooding liquid.

Interesting! I feel happiness along with connection and I guess similar to a soothing fireplace or a warm bath that relaxes the muscles after a long day. 

Sadness: Disappointment, despair, hopelessness.  Cold, icy waters.

I never would have thought of sadness that way... To me it becomes a physical pain or ache. It feels like darkness (but not the cool mystical kind). It feels like stepping on legos.

Anger: Disappointment, distance, disgust.  Invincible raging inferno.

Irritated: Annoyed, disappointment, disregard.  Cool, indifferent embers.

True it can be. It can be a numb feeling at times.

Most often though it's intense. I either end up giving in and I start hearing my inner voice turn on me or I start to disconnect. My mind will start saying "No one cares they just pretend", "Pain is an old friend to welcome back in", "The pain is real and it's just as alive as you are".

Pain is almost personified to me.

Love:
