But to answer your question... Unfortunately not. I feel like nobody is a whole persona... rather, they're fragments of their environment. Once you understand how people work and how easily they are influenced.. there's nothing left of the persona to connect to. I'm a whole person. Others are not. I believe I live in the Matrix and the ignorant masses around me are lifeless, malleable puppets sprung to life by their environment. There's nothing to connect with. What you call a connection... I don't see connection. Once you see it... it no longer feels real.
It's like looking at santa claus knowing he's not real. There's that gleam that you can see in the little children's eyes when they think he's real.... it disappears when they find out santa isn't real. The magic is gone once you're too intelligent. Stupidity is a blessing.
