Acts of Masochism

Pretty sure I'm the only one, and really this is isn't like physical I guess

I sometimes play this on loop to give myself a headache and drive myself insane with extreme thoughts of violence nagging at my skull.

All I can do is dream that Santa may deliver me his head on a pike. If I ever get my way, these fucks would be dragged out of their homes and forced to bite the curb in a Great Curbstomp Forward.

Death to these frauds. Death to puppets of the CIA. Daemonic Hordes of NeoCons and NeoLibs must one day be cleansed off the face of this Earth.

Mine tend to be more physical and in relation a self-blame sort of self-conditioning or autohypnosis, and it falls into my gaming habits too when I push myself to do challenges where I'll lose repeatedly like Super Meat Boy.

Games where you learn from losing a lot tend to hook me more than ones that give you a more straight forward journey. Something about the cycles of anticipation and disappointment on repeat's calming.

I mean in the past, if I get angry at myself, and well to an extent, I still do. I'd refuse to eat and let myself hunger in pain, or I'd give myself a hot shower that would hurt, or I'd purposely go for a drive in heavy or light clothing depending on whether and turn make the car either cold or hot with the vents pointed directly at my hands so I could feel the burn or freeze.

There are other methods I've imagined in my head, the stereotypical bite a clothe and lash oneself but that one would be too noticeable to others around me, and there's no good space or privacy to do such, if I were to attempt it.

In the past if I had a toothache, I'd purposely bite down to increase the pain. When I was younger, I somehow gave myself a cut on my hand that was infected and I used the blunt end of a pen with a dent in it like a circle, and I'd press down on that area and it'd hurt and I'd keep doing it.

None of these are like sexually driven, at least I've never gotten that sort of pleasure for it, it was different. I wouldn't know how to describe it, but I don't consider myself to be a masochist. I just do certain acts of masochism.

There's multiple forms of masochism my dude.

This one's mine: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Algolagnia

Have you played Getting Over It by Bennett Foddy?
