The space will likely do you both some good, regardless of what you decide on over if it's a relationship still or not. 

I'd take the time to think about it before you come to any decisions, in general neither of you have really been in a state where you felt 'alone' like this until now so it feels unfamiliar. Once you've had a chance to get used to this mindset you'll be that much closer to knowing what you truly want.

 His island actually has a lot of opportunities, it's smaller but has the highest population, of all the islands

He's on another island soon, he wants to come back to the tent but, I don't want him to. I'm not letting him I said no.

He said we can take a year apart and be separated but does not want to divorce after all but still wants to split in everything.

I said a year might be good but it depends on a lot. 

But I told him he absolutely cannot see me for one year at the very least. 

I thought he would go back to Ohio and I offered to pay for his ticket, but he said he likes hawaii and wants to stay and is just going to a different island.

 Who would go back to Ohio if they could live in Hawaii?

Being an unmarried couple would have been more beneficial, and it looks as though marriage is rigged against poor people.  

If we're distracted we won't focus and it's best to remove certain people from our lives, so I hope for Noah's sake his departure is about focus and not some other shit.

maybe he smacked her around cos he feels inadequate as a man. the guys who hit women, usually would never dare hit a guy. the ones i see that are equal opportunity assaulters i actually have slightly more respect for. at least its a real issue u cant control rather than just choosing a weaker target to feel like a man

 How much do you respect men that only beat men or women that beat men?

i think women that beat men deserve a solid slap at the very least, depending on how bad the assault is. i remember in college this girl said she was gonna slap my bf at the time, and i knew he'd never hit her back so i told him if she touches u im gonna fuck her up. and i definitely woulda lost that fight but it was principle.

and yea i dont respect men that only beat men, i just respect them more than men who only beat women. it'd be like me beating up a child rather than a woman my age and size. both are wrong but one is just embarrassing and disgusting
