In reality, me at this time of year every year:
I like Xmas.
I discovered long ago that telling everybody "I'm broke so pls don't buy me a gift bc I can't afford to buy one for you and I'm so sorry" works best for keeping the holidays stress free.
I do stuff for my sister and call it a gift... sometimes.
I have to pull my socks up this year, tho. The whole fam damily pitched in for that new coat for me.
The London Fog was sold out by the time I made up my mind.
So I got me a sweet little Calvin Klein in Emerald green for $90. Down from $300. They bought me a beautiful furry blankie, too. 70% off when you make a purchase of $50 or more :)
I'm half covered bc I bought a bunch of gifts last year and then couldn't give them to the people I bought them for cuz COVID. Nobody was able to travel. So I put it all away, and I can just pull it out next week or thereabouts.
