I think it's that she still cares enough about him to not want to risk sending him to prison.

She's shown protest to the idea before now too.

It would make her claims more true would it not? You have trouble believing her and if she as incoherent as you claim surely it would show.

If she's got bruises it'll be catalogued and a report made.

No I'm just saying this is an independent factor, you seem really pushy to write me into your preferred narrative right now.

I could have tried to claim that her refusal to call the cops means "they might catch her in a lie" if not her worrying about something like that, but from what I've seen it seems more like concern over his well being in spite of it all.

She specifically does not want that's the thing, she'd see this as it being inflicted upon her rather than going there to help her.

At the very least there's more sense in her doing the call than anyone here if she's to process it properly.

My preferred narrative? You don't seem to think your friend is capable of hitting or raping her. Most domestic abuse victims don't want to report their partners to the authorities over not being believed or because their life would be in danger.

Sometimes you just have to help people out even when they don't want it.

You're missing what I've been saying if you're still on this train of thought.

Yeah but you're a little too quick to help sometimes. 🤷
